Situated at 64-68 Lorne Street, Cedar Pacific’s Lorne Street Student Accommodation project is adding the final touches to this incredible amalgamation of history and innovation.
The development blends heritage preservation and cutting-edge prefabrication technology with sustainability principles to redefine the future of student living within Auckland’s CBD.
The project, which began in May 2023, is on track for completion in late 2025. McConnell Property has overseen every aspect of delivery, from initial feasibility assessments, managing the design and Resource Consent process, remediation of the heritage façade and now, the final fit-out of the units.
The 18-level project, designed to house 758 students, will achieve a Greenstar 5-star standard, ensuring high-quality living conditions for residents, with ample communal amenity areas.
At the heart of the development lies the 1929 heritage-listed Campbell House, an example of Art Deco design, whose facade is being carefully restored to preserve its historic character.
With its proximity to the University of Auckland and AUT, this purpose-built student accommodation building will enhance the urban landscape and address the growing demand for student housing within Auckland.
